Job Description
This is a senior strategic role responsible for managing the product lifecycle of animal feed and animal health (veterinary) products.
You will lead:
- Product strategy and development
- Market growth and performance
- Technical support and product positioning
- Compliance with agricultural and veterinary regulations
In simple terms: you manage animal nutrition and veterinary product lines as a business portfolio.
Key Responsibilities
1. Product Strategy & Management
- Develop and execute product strategies
- Manage animal feed and animal health product categories
- Drive innovation and product growth
2. Technical & Industry Support
- Provide technical support on:
- Animal nutrition
- Veterinary/animal medicine products
- Assist sales teams with product knowledge and positioning
- Train internal staff and suppliers
3. Market & Performance Analysis
- Monitor market trends and competitors
- Analyse product performance
- Identify growth opportunities
4. Compliance & Regulation
- Ensure compliance with:
- Feed safety regulations
- Veterinary product laws
- Maintain regulatory standards across product lines
5. Stakeholder Management
- Build relationships with:
- Suppliers
- Internal sales teams
- Store personnel
- Support cross-functional collaboration
6. Sales Support & Commercial Execution
- Support sales teams with product knowledge
- Assist with product positioning and training
- Help drive product sales growth
7. Project & Category Management
- Manage product lifecycle from development to market
- Oversee category performance
- Lead product-related projects
Minimum Requirements
Education
- Bachelor’s degree or postgraduate qualification
Experience
- 5–10+ years experience in:
- Product management OR category management
- Animal feed industry
- Animal health/veterinary industry
