Job Description
This role focuses on providing general in-store support to ensure:
- Excellent customer service
- Proper stock merchandising
- Clean and safe store environment
- Accurate pricing and shelf management
In simple terms: you help keep the store organized, stocked, and customer-friendly.
Key Responsibilities
1. Customer Service
- Assist customers with product queries
- Provide product guidance and support
- Handle and resolve basic complaints
2. Merchandising
- Ensure shelves are fully stocked
- Follow store layout and planograms
- Properly label prices on shelves
- Safely arrange bulk stock areas
3. Housekeeping
- Keep aisles clean and obstacle-free
- Ensure stock is put away immediately after delivery
- Maintain clean and safe store environment
- Complete cleaning checklists when required
4. Health & Safety (OHSA)
- Follow safety procedures and use protective equipment
- Ensure safe movement for customers and staff
- Report hazards or issues to management
5. Stock Control
- Report damaged or missing stock
- Help prevent stock loss
- Maintain basic stock awareness
Minimum Requirements
Education
- Grade 10 (NQF Level 3) + 1 year experience
OR - Grade 12 (no experience required)
Skills Required
- Basic communication in English
- Basic numeracy (simple calculations)
- Ability to work under pressure
- Customer service mindset
Work Conditions
- Must be willing to work:
