Responsibilities:
As the Assistant Director: Human Resource Planning & Advisory Services, you will play a strategic role in shaping the department’s human resource framework and policies. Your key duties will include:

Managing human resource planning and advisory services, ensuring alignment with the department’s strategic goals.

Developing, reviewing, and providing guidance on HR policies, procedures, and best practices.

Coordinating the recruitment and selection processes, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and equity targets.

Compiling and submitting strategic HR documents, including the Human Resource Plan, HR Plan Implementation Report, Employment Equity Plan, and Employment Equity Report.

Managing and mentoring subordinates, ensuring team performance and implementing staff development initiatives.
-
Ensuring compliance with directives and national/provincial HR policies, and advising internal stakeholders accordingly.

Providing support during audits, inspections, and policy reviews to maintain governance and accountability in HR functions.
Qualifications:
To be considered for this role, candidates must meet the following minimum requirements:

A Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management or NQF level 6 qualification in a relevant HR field.

A minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience in human resource management or planning.
-
Computer literacy and proficiency in standard Microsoft Office applications.
-
A valid driver’s license (motor vehicle) is required for official travel and site visits.

Strong knowledge of HR legislation, policy development, recruitment processes, and employment equity frameworks.
