    Job Overview

    The Department of Human Settlements is inviting applications for the Graduate Internship Programme: Supply Chain Management – Bid Administration and Logistics Management. This 24-month internship is designed to provide graduates with practical experience in public sector supply chain management, procurement processes, bid administration, and logistics management.

    Successful interns will gain valuable exposure to government procurement systems while supporting the efficient acquisition and management of goods and services.

    Key Responsibilities

    The successful interns will be expected to:

    • Assist with bid administration and procurement processes.
    • Support the preparation and administration of bid and quotation documentation.
    • Assist with logistics and inventory management activities.
    • Maintain procurement records, databases, and filing systems.
    • Support the evaluation and administration of supplier documentation.
    • Assist with contract administration and supply chain reporting.
    • Ensure compliance with departmental policies, supply chain regulations, and government prescripts.
    • Participate in administrative duties within the Supply Chain Management unit.
    • Perform additional duties assigned by supervisors.

    Minimum Requirements

    Applicants must have:

    • Grade 12 (Matric).
    • A minimum qualification at NQF Level 6 in one of the following fields:
      • Public Administration
      • Supply Chain Management
      • Financial Management
    • Basic knowledge of government prescripts and principles.

    Required Skills and Competencies

    • Basic knowledge of supply chain management and procurement principles.
