Key Responsibilities
As a Fuel Station Manager at VKB Fuels, you will handle various operational and management tasks, including:
Financial Management:
- Ensure profitability by achieving turnover and net profit targets
- Control costs and manage capital efficiently
Stock Control & Management:
- Oversee fuel stock levels and prevent shortages or expired stock
- Ensure deli items are available, fresh, and high quality
Customer Service Excellence:
- Address customer queries and complaints effectively
- Ensure customers receive exceptional service
Operational Compliance:
- Ensure the fuel station complies with all legal requirements
- Implement and maintain VKB policies and procedures
Staff & Shift Management:
- Draft and manage daily and weekly shift schedules
- Keep overtime to a minimum
- Lead and motivate staff to perform at their best
Premises & Housekeeping:
- Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the station, deli, and surrounding premises
- Conduct regular checks to ensure high standards of hygiene and safety
Training & Development:
- Ensure all required training is completed by you and your staff
- Keep up to date with industry best practices and trends
Minimum Requirements
To be considered for this exciting role, candidates must meet the following requirements:
- Education: Grade 12 / NQF 4
- Experience: Minimum 5 years of management experience in a fuel retail environment, including fast food restaurant management
- Driver’s License: Valid Code EB (Essential)
- Computer Skills: Intermediate to advanced level
- Additional Qualification: Relevant tertiary qualification is an advantage
- Work Schedule: Willing to work after hours when required
- Criminal Record: Clear criminal record is a must
- Proven Track Record: Strong evidence of leadership and management skills in a similar role
