Responsibilities:

Manage the Directorate: Internal Audit’s resources effectively.

Review and evaluate internal controls to ensure they are adequate and effective in reducing risks.

Provide strategic guidance for the implementation of cost-effective internal control systems.
-
Ensure departmental compliance with internal auditing standards and professional best practices.
-
Offer administrative support to the Audit Committee.
-
Lead risk management initiatives within the department.
Qualifications:
-
A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification (NQF Level 7) in Accounting or Auditing, with Auditing as a major subject.
-
6–10 years of experience in the auditing field, with at least 5 years in a middle or senior managerial position.
-
In-depth knowledge of the PFMA, Treasury Regulations, and Public Service legislation.

Strong skills in leadership, strategic planning, financial and people management, client service, analytical thinking, interpersonal communication, and computer literacy.
