    Responsibilities:

    • Develop and implement risk management strategies, policies, and annual plans.

    • Review and continuously improve the departmental risk management framework.

    • Facilitate the integration of risk management practices into departmental operations.

    • Lead and manage the Risk Management Sub-directorate effectively.

    • Support compliance with relevant legislation, including the PFMA and Treasury Regulations.

    Qualifications:

    • A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification (NQF Level 7) in Accounting, Auditing, or Risk Management.

    • Minimum of 5 years’ experience, with at least 3 years at junior management/Assistant Director level.

    • Solid understanding of the PFMA, Public Service Act, and related financial regulations.

    • Demonstrated skills in leadership, financial and people management, strategic thinking, interpersonal communication, analytical reasoning, and computer literacy.
