The Director will lead the development and management of social crime prevention and victim empowerment programmes. Salary:
R1 266 741 per annum (Level 13), all-inclusive package.
Includes basic salary, government pension contributions, and a flexible portion that may include a 13th cheque, motor car allowance, homeowner’s allowance, and medical aid assistance.
Key Responsibilities:

Manage policy development, guidelines, norms, and standards related to victim empowerment and prevention of gender-based violence

Oversee probation services, crime prevention, and victim empowerment programmes

Design and implement marketing strategies to promote victim empowerment and crime prevention initiatives

Identify policy implementation challenges and recommend interventions

Develop mentoring and coaching models for emerging organisations

Facilitate fund allocation to national NGOs implementing victim empowerment and gender-based violence prevention programmes

Manage all directorate resources including budget, human resources, equipment, and vehicles

Coordinate and monitor the effective delivery of all programmes in line with departmental strategies
Requirements:

Undergraduate qualification (NQF Level 7) in Social Work recognized by SAQA
-
Registration with the South African Council for Social Service Professions as a Social Worker

Minimum 5 years middle/senior managerial experience, preferably in victim empowerment, social welfare, or criminal justice sectors

Knowledge of public service legislation and victim empowerment programmes within the JCPS sector

Strong competencies in strategic leadership, programme/project management, financial management, policy development, change management, and stakeholder engagement

Excellent communication, presentation, facilitation, and client service skills

SMS Pre-Entry Certificate is not required for shortlisting but must be submitted prior to appointment
