    Purpose of the Position

    The Banker Transactional, Premium supports the Relationship Manager in managing a portfolio of Premium and Growth business clients. The role focuses on portfolio administration, client service, compliance management, sales support, relationship building, and operational banking activities.

    The incumbent serves as a key contact point for clients, ensuring efficient service delivery while supporting business growth and maintaining compliance with banking regulations and internal policies.

    Key Responsibilities

    Client Relationship Support

    • Assist the Relationship Manager in managing a portfolio of Premium and Growth clients.
    • Serve as a primary contact for client enquiries and service requests.
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with business clients.
    • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and service excellence.
    • Identify opportunities to deepen client relationships.

    Portfolio Administration

    • Support the day-to-day administration of client portfolios.
    • Maintain accurate client records and account information.
    • Monitor portfolio activities and transactions.
    • Ensure client documentation is complete and up to date.
    • Assist with account reviews and portfolio maintenance.

    Sales and Business Development

    • Support achievement of sales and revenue targets.
    • Promote relevant banking products and services.
    • Identify cross-selling and upselling opportunities.
    • Assist in implementing customer retention strategies.
    • Contribute to portfolio growth initiatives.

    Compliance and Risk Management

    • Ensure compliance with:
      • Banking regulations
      • Internal policies
      • Risk management frameworks
      • Know Your Customer (KYC) requirements
    • Monitor client files and documentation for compliance.
    • Assist with customer acceptance and review processes.
    • Identify and escalate potential risks.

    Operational Support

    • Coordinate operational activities relating to client accounts.
    • Facilitate service fulfilment requests.
    • Support transactional banking processes.
    • Resolve client issues efficiently.
    • Liaise with internal departments to ensure seamless service delivery.

    Lending and Credit Support

    • Assist with account analysis and portfolio reviews.
    • Support lending and credit-related administrative processes.
    • Gather information required for credit assessments.
    • Monitor lending-related compliance requirements.

    Minimum Requirements

    Qualification

    • Diploma in Business Commerce or a related field.

    Experience

    • 3–4 years of experience in:
      • Account Analyst roles, or
      • Relationship Banking, or
      • Commercial Banking support functions.

    Preferred Experience

    • Exposure to:
      • Lending principles
      • Credit analysis
      • Business banking products
      • Customer service within banking
