Role Purpose
This role supports the Store Manager in running daily store operations, ensuring sales targets, customer service, and team performance are consistently achieved.
Key Responsibilities
Stock Management
- Receive, unpack, and replenish stock on the sales floor
- Monitor stock levels and minimise stock loss
- Maintain organised and clean stockroom
- Approve returns, damages, and write-offs
Sales & Profitability
- Analyse sales and performance reports
- Implement strategies to increase sales and profitability
- Identify new opportunities to grow brand awareness
- Monitor store expenses
Risk & Compliance
- Ensure store complies with company policies and procedures
- Conduct regular checks to reduce risks
Customer Experience
- Maintain high customer service standards
- Ensure a positive and consistent shopping experience
Leadership & Team Management
- Lead and motivate the store team
- Train, coach, and develop staff
- Assist with recruitment and performance management
- Support succession planning
Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12 (Matric)
- 2–3 years experience in a supervisory or assistant store manager role
- Understanding of:
- Sales and service management
- Retail operations
