Role Purpose
This is a specialist, senior-level role focused on growing and supporting short-term insurance advisors and broker networks. The position drives business growth, advisor performance, and strategic expansion within the insurance sector.
Key Responsibilities
Business Development & Growth
- Drive new business development strategies
- Support advisors in building profitable insurance portfolios
- Identify and onboard new brokers and advisors
Advisor Support & Training
- Provide technical, product, and sales support
- Coordinate training and accreditation of advisors
- Assist advisors with Personal & Commercial Lines products
Compliance & Performance
- Monitor advisor performance and ensure FAIS compliance
- Support growth while maintaining risk and compliance standards
- Supervise and guide new advisors through onboarding
Relationship Management
- Build strong relationships with:
- Advisors
- Brokerages
- Internal teams
- Facilitate referrals and business opportunities
Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12 (Matric)
- Short-term insurance qualification
- RE5 Certificate (FAIS compliant)
- Minimum:
- 3+ years Business Development experience
- 3+ years in short-term insurance
