    Minimum Requirements

    Candidates interested in this position must meet the following qualification and experience requirements:

    Educational Qualification:

    • A National Diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain, or Commerce at NQF Level 6 with 240 credits.

    Work Experience:

    • A minimum of two years of experience in Cataloguing.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

    Key Responsibilities

    The Assistant Officer Cataloguing plays an important role in ensuring the seamless functioning of Eskom’s procurement and supply chain operations. The key responsibilities for this role include:

    1. Managing Material Master Records

      • Handling applications for additions and modifications to material master records.
      • Ensuring materials are classified correctly and meet Eskom’s inventory standards.
      • Supporting the procurement team with updated materials information.
    2. Validating and Cleansing Data

      • Collating, verifying, and cleaning data related to materials management.
      • Ensuring accuracy and completeness of records to avoid errors in procurement and storage.
    3. Supporting Supply Chain Operations

      • Acting as a point of contact between procurement, stores, and supplier management teams.
      • Facilitating smooth operations within Eskom’s supply chain processes.
      • Providing administrative and technical support where required.
    4. Compliance with Safety Standards

      • Adhering to Occupational Health and Safety (OSH Act) regulations.
      • Following Eskom’s safety guidelines and best practices in cataloguing and procurement.
