JOB OVERVIEW
Job Title: Area Marketer
Company: AVI Limited – Field Marketing Shared Services Division
Location: Bloemfontein, covering Free State, Vryburg, and Northern Cape
Employment Type: Full-time

Responsibilities:
- Perform sales and merchandising functions across the wholesale and independent channels
- Monitor store ordering processes, stock levels, and returns
- Negotiate promotional activities and ensure implementation of Point of Purchase (POP) materials
- Maintain shelf health standards and product visibility
- Monitor pricing, competitor activity, and Stock Keeping Unit (SKU) performance
- Ensure effective execution of promotions and new product launches
- Manage call cycles and communicate changes to customers and staff
- Supervise field marketers and merchandisers
- Maintain accurate reporting and feedback to the Area Sales Manager
Qualifications:
- Grade 12 / Matric (essential)
- Diploma or Degree in Sales, Marketing, Business Management or Retail Management (advantageous)
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) sales, specifically in wholesale and independent channels
- Supervisory experience required
- Knowledge of the Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) industry, HR procedures, and staff management
- Computer literacy in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- Valid driver’s license
