    Responsibilities:

    As the Administrative Officer (PMDS Practitioner), you will play a vital role in supporting the implementation and monitoring of the Department’s Performance Management and Development System (PMDS) for officials on salary levels 1 to 12. Your responsibilities will include:

    • Assisting in the implementation of the Performance Management System (PMS) in line with departmental policy and public service regulations.

    • Monitoring the development, signing, and compliance of Performance Agreements, Quarterly Reviews, and End-of-Cycle Reports.

    • Advising and assisting managers and supervisors on PMDS procedures, documentation, and due dates to ensure department-wide compliance.

    • Coordinating and finalizing the annual PMDS cycle, ensuring accurate reporting and adherence to timelines.

    • Providing secretariat support to PMDS-related committees and structures within the department.

    • Representing the Department at forums and meetings concerning performance management matters.

    • Generating reports and verification documents to assess PMDS implementation across departmental units.

    Qualifications:

    To be considered for this opportunity, candidates must meet the following minimum requirements:

    • An appropriate degree or National Diploma in Human Resource Management, Public Administration, or Public Management, or an NQF Level 5 qualification in a related field.

    • At least 2 years of relevant experience in the public sector, particularly in:

      • Human Resource administration

      • Supply Chain Management

      • Financial and Budget Management

      • General public administration

    • Computer literacy, especially in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

    • Strong administrative, organizational, and interpersonal skills.

    • Knowledge of PMDS policies, frameworks, and best practices in government environments will be an added advantage.
