Job Title: Administrative Officer (PMDS Practitioner)

Responsibilities:
As the Administrative Officer (PMDS Practitioner), you will play a vital role in supporting the implementation and monitoring of the Department’s Performance Management and Development System (PMDS) for officials on salary levels 1 to 12. Your responsibilities will include:
Assisting in the implementation of the Performance Management System (PMS) in line with departmental policy and public service regulations.
Monitoring the development, signing, and compliance of Performance Agreements, Quarterly Reviews, and End-of-Cycle Reports.
Advising and assisting managers and supervisors on PMDS procedures, documentation, and due dates to ensure department-wide compliance.
Coordinating and finalizing the annual PMDS cycle, ensuring accurate reporting and adherence to timelines.
Providing secretariat support to PMDS-related committees and structures within the department.
Representing the Department at forums and meetings concerning performance management matters.
Generating reports and verification documents to assess PMDS implementation across departmental units.
Qualifications:
To be considered for this opportunity, candidates must meet the following minimum requirements:
An appropriate degree or National Diploma in Human Resource Management, Public Administration, or Public Management, or an NQF Level 5 qualification in a related field.
At least 2 years of relevant experience in the public sector, particularly in:
Human Resource administration
Supply Chain Management
Financial and Budget Management
General public administration
Computer literacy, especially in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Strong administrative, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
Knowledge of PMDS policies, frameworks, and best practices in government environments will be an added advantage.
