Job Description

The Work Integrated Learning opportunity is aimed at providing Human Resource Management students with practical workplace experience aligned with their field of study.

Learners will perform basic HR-related duties under the guidance of a mentor and complete activities outlined in their Learner Guide, Workbook or Logbook.

Minimum Requirements

Applicants must:

• Be South African citizens.
• Have completed Grade 12.
• Possess an N6 Certificate or academic record.
• Be eligible for Work Integrated Learning in Human Resource Management.
• TVET students who have already completed an 18-month learnership may not apply.

Preference will be given to historically disadvantaged individuals.

Knowledge and Skills

Candidates should have:

• Good communication skills.
• Computer literacy.
• Strong organisational skills.
• Good literacy and numeracy skills.
• Time-management skills.
• Problem-solving abilities.
• Good written and verbal communication.
• Professional telephone etiquette.
• A neat and well-presented appearance.

Key Duties

• Perform basic tasks assigned by the mentor.
• Complete duties related to the learner’s field of study.
• Follow the requirements of the Learner Guide, Workbook and/or Logbook.
• Attend the funded Personal Mastery Course applicable to Work Integrated Learning appointees.
• Gain practical workplace experience in line with Human Resource Management studies.
