Job Description
The Free State Department of Health is offering Work Integrated Learning opportunities in Electrical Engineering for eligible students seeking practical workplace experience in their field of study.
Successful learners will perform basic duties under the supervision of a mentor and complete activities according to their Learner Guide, Workbook and/or Logbook.
Minimum Requirements
Applicants must:
- Be South African citizens.
- Have completed Grade 12.
- Possess an N6 Certificate or academic record.
- Be eligible for Work Integrated Learning in Electrical Engineering.
- TVET students who have already completed an 18-month learnership may not apply.
Preference will be given to historically disadvantaged individuals.

- Good literacy and numeracy skills.
- Effective time-management skills.
- Problem-solving skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication.
- Professional telephone etiquette.

Key Duties
- Perform basic tasks assigned by the mentor.
- Carry out duties related to Electrical Engineering and the learner’s field of study.
- Complete activities outlined in the Learner Guide, Workbook and/or Logbook.
- Attend the funded Personal Mastery Course applicable to Work Integrated Learning appointees.
- Gain practical workplace experience under appropriate supervision.
