Thuthuka Bursary Programme 2026
The Thuthuka Bursary Programme, administered by the Thuthuka Education and Upliftment Fund (TEUF) in partnership with NSFAS, is a specialised bursary aimed at supporting aspiring Chartered Accountants (CAs) in South Africa. Designed to address the transformation and skills shortage in the accounting profession, the programme provides full financial and academic support to disadvantaged students who show strong academic potential and a desire to pursue a career as a CA.
The bursary is open to learners who are accepted or provisionally accepted into a SAICA-accredited university, and applicants must meet the academic, financial, and personal criteria. Selection is based on academic performance, National Benchmark Test (NBT) results, and a means test administered by NSFAS.
Thuthuka’s support goes beyond tuition, offering structured support programmes at partner universities to help students succeed both academically and personally.
This bursary is a significant opportunity for talented young South Africans committed to becoming Chartered Accountants and contributing to the country’s financial and economic development.
