Tender Description
Free State Department of Health invites suitably qualified and compliant suppliers to submit bids for the supply and delivery of roller ironer accessories to public health facilities across the province.
The objective of this contract is to ensure the continuous, efficient, and safe operation of institutional laundry services within healthcare facilities through the provision of high-quality, compliant consumables and accessories.

Scope of Supply
The successful bidder will be required to supply and deliver the following roller ironer accessories:
Ironer Padding (Needlefelt) – various sizes and specifications
TMA High-Temperature Calender Wax
Woven Ironer Guide Tapes (T25, T7724i, T24/25(HP))
Anti-Static Folder Banding and Feed Belting
Lacing Clips and Pins
Waxing Cloths
Cleaning Blanket EU
Poly Tac Heatseal Patches
Deliveries will be made to multiple healthcare facilities as specified by the Department.
Technical Specifications
Supplied items must strictly comply with the following minimum technical requirements:
Ironer Padding:
100% polyester scrim reinforced
Weight: ±800–900gsm
Thickness: ±5mm
Operating temperature: up to 170°C
Heat-set and anti-hydrolysis treated
Lengths ranging from 3.85m to 6.4m (as specified)
Calender Wax:
High-temperature, non-marking wax
Supplied in 10kg tubs
Suitable for operating temperatures up to 150°C
Rust protection with no residue
Guide Tapes, Belting & Banding:
Heat-set polyester construction
Widths between 14mm and 15mm
Stable, non-ribboning, anti-static properties
Accessories:
Lacing clips and pins (50mm–150mm)
Waxing cloths, cleaning blankets, and heatseal patches with appropriate heat resistance
All items must meet manufacturing, safety, and quality standards, including the provision of Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) where applicable.
Supplier Eligibility & Capability
Bidders must demonstrate:
Proven experience in supplying institutional or industrial laundry accessories
Capacity to meet high-volume delivery requirements across multiple sites
Experience supplying government or large institutional clients
Ability to provide after-sales support, warranties, and replacements where required
Full compliance with legal, safety, environmental, and procurement requirements
