Tender Description
Eskom invites suitably qualified and experienced service providers to submit bids for a five (5) year contract for the stripping, assessment, repair, and overhaul of all Siemens and Rotork type actuators at Lethabo Power Station.
The purpose of this contract is to ensure the continued operational reliability, safety, and performance of actuator systems critical to plant operations.
Scope of Work
The successful bidder will be responsible for:

Complete stripping, inspection, assessment, repair, and reassembly of Siemens and Rotork actuators

Replacement of worn or defective components using OEM-approved parts

Pre-shutdown inspections and on-site service support
-
Installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting support
-
Secure transport, handling, and storage of actuators during repair cycles

Provision of technical support, training, and specialist expertise
-
Compliance with Eskom Safety, Health, Environmental, and Quality (SHEQ) standards
Technical & Compliance Requirements
Tenderers must demonstrate:

Proven experience in servicing Siemens and Rotork actuators in an industrial or power generation environment

Availability of qualified and competent technical personnel

Compliance with Eskom and OEM technical specifications
-
Adherence to defined repair turnaround times and outage schedules
-
Documented quality assurance, testing, and reporting processes
-
Implementation of safe work procedures, hazard identification, and emergency response plans
Skills Development, Localisation & B-BBEE
The contract includes mandatory commitments to:

Skills Development, Localisation, and Industrialisation (SDL&I) initiatives

Training of Eskom personnel and local community members
-
Employment creation and development of scarce and critical skills

Compliance with B-BBEE requirements, including valid certification or sworn affidavits

Monitoring and reporting on SDL&I targets and performance
