Tender Description
Moqhaka Local Municipality is inviting suitably qualified and compliant suppliers to provide and deliver various water network, plumbing and pipe infrastructure materials for its Water Works Section.
The successful supplier will be responsible for supplying quality, new and unused materials and ensuring their safe and timely delivery to the municipality.
Scope of Supply
The required materials include, among others:
- Plasson fittings, including couplings, adapters and elbows
- uPVC ball stopcocks
- Short collars from 75 mm to 200 mm
- Pipe range couplings
- AC-to-adapter/VJ couplings
- Straight pipe couplings from 75 mm to 400 mm
- Sewer pipe fittings
- VI/Ug clamps
- Junctions
- Industrial, house, and bore-related fittings
Quantities vary by item and are generally between 5 and 20 units.
Key Requirements
Bidders must be able to:
- Supply new and unused water network materials.
- Meet the required technical and quality specifications.
- Package goods appropriately for transportation and storage.
- Deliver materials safely to the designated municipal site.
- Provide a 12-month warranty from delivery acceptance or 18 months from shipment, as applicable.
- Comply with municipal procurement and administrative requirements.
- Provide accurate invoices and delivery documentation.
- Handle warranty claims and replacement of defective goods where applicable.
Evaluation & Preference
The tender uses an 80/20 preference point system:
- 80 points: Price
- 20 points: Specific goals
- Up to 10 points for businesses operating within the Moqhaka Local Municipality area
- Up to 10 points based on B-BBEE contribution level
Preference is given to bidders residing/operating within the municipality and those with a valid B-BBEE certificate or sworn affidavit, in accordance with the municipality’s Preferential Procurement Policy.
Mandatory Compliance
Bidders should ensure that all prescribed Municipal Bidding Document (MBD) forms and required compliance documentation are properly completed and submitted. This includes relevant declarations, tax compliance information and other statutory documentation required by the municipality.
