Job Summary
Matjhabeng Local Municipality seeks to establish a panel of suppliers for the supply and delivery of motor vehicle parts for a period of three (3) years. Suppliers will be appointed on a as-and-when-required basis, depending on the municipality’s vehicle maintenance and operational needs.
This tender is a re-advertisement, meaning the municipality is re-opening the tender process to ensure a wider supplier base or to fill gaps in the previous panel.
Objectives
The main goals of this tender are:
- Establish a panel of qualified suppliers for vehicle parts
Ensure continuous availability of parts for municipal fleet maintenance - Improve turnaround time for vehicle repairs
- Ensure cost-effective procurement of quality parts
- Support efficient municipal service delivery
Scope of Work
1. Supply of Vehicle Parts
Provide a wide range of motor vehicle parts for the municipal fleet
Parts may include:
Engine parts
Brake systems
Suspension parts
Electrical components
Filters, oils, belts, etc.
2. Delivery
Supply and delivery as-and-when-required over a 3-year contract
Delivery to the municipality’s depot or specified locations within Matjhabeng
Prompt delivery based on service calls and maintenance schedules
3. Panel Supplier Arrangement
Suppliers will be placed on a panel
Orders will be issued depending on:
Price competitiveness
Stock availability
Delivery lead time
Supplier performance
Technical Requirements
Suppliers must provide proof of capacity to supply various vehicle parts
Must demonstrate ability to deliver within required timelines
Must comply with municipal procurement policies
Must meet functionality requirements in tender evaluation
