Key Responsibilities
Place orders and liaise with suppliers under approval of Project/Assistant Catering Manager.
Ensure accuracy of prices and quantities on order sheets and invoices.
Issue stock and groceries to all external departments.
Weigh food products issued to staff for production.
Manage store stock levels in line with budget, ensuring minimum/maximum levels are maintained.
Assist with weekly and monthly stocktakes.
Complete HSE records accurately and on time.
Supervise storeroom, fridge, and freezer areas, ensuring cleanliness and security.
Verify quality and labeling of all incoming stock.
Receive and organize stock from suppliers.
Perform quality checks on all food products.
Implement strict controls in fridge, freezer, and storeroom areas.
Work in conjunction with the Project/Assistant Catering Manager and Catering Supervisors.
Available to work weekends when required.
Qualifications and Experience
Matric – essential.
Logistics qualification – advantageous.
Minimum 2 years’ experience in a logistics or store environment.
Experience in hospitality – preferred but not essential (training provided).
Supervisory and systems experience – advantageous.
Valid driver’s license.
Knowledge, Skills, and Competencies
Computer literate.
Strong numerical and calculation skills.
Planning, organizational, and time management skills.
Effective communication skills.
Ability to work independently and under pressure.
Delegation and supervisory skills.
