Job Overview:
The Store Manager is responsible for managing daily store operations, achieving sales targets, maintaining stock control, ensuring compliance, and delivering an exceptional customer experience while leading and developing the store team.
Key Responsibilities:
Stock Management:

Receive, unpack, merchandise, and replenish stock on the sales floor.

Monitor stock levels through stock counts, stock takes, and stock loss action plans.

Maintain stockroom standards and authorize write-offs, breakages, recalls, and returns.
Sales Growth & Profitability:

Analyze sales and profitability reports to implement operational action plans.

Review in-store product performance and provide feedback to support centers.

Identify new opportunities to increase sales, brand awareness, and customer engagement.
Risk & Compliance Management:

Conduct compliance checks via audits, POS reports, health & safety standards, and security measures.

Ensure adherence to company policies, procedures, and risk management standards.
Customer Experience Management:

Implement customer experience processes, including promotions, visual standards, markdowns, and customer feedback management.

Ensure high levels of customer service and store presentation.
Leadership & Development:

Lead and motivate the store team to achieve KPIs and operational goals.

Identify training and development needs, manage performance, and support succession planning.

Recruit, administer, and manage staff according to company policies.
Qualifications & Experience:

Grade 12 (NQF Level 4) or equivalent.

Minimum 3 years’ experience in a store managerial position.

Strong understanding of sales, service, retail trade, and brand/product knowledge.

Computer literacy and good communication skills.
