OneCart (Pty) Ltd is currently offering an exciting opportunity for a Shopper & Driver Supervisor to join its Operations Department in Parys, Free State. This contract-based role is ideal for an experienced and motivated individual with a passion for retail operations and customer service.
The successful candidate will play a key role in managing and leading a team of Shoppers and Drivers to ensure efficient service delivery and seamless daily operations.
Key Responsibilities
The Shopper & Driver Supervisor will oversee various operational and managerial tasks, including but not limited to:
1. Team Leadership & Supervision
- Lead and supervise a team of Shoppers and Drivers to ensure seamless service delivery.
- Conduct spot checks on uniform compliance, staff attendance, and adherence to orders and processes.
- Monitor staff performance and adherence to company procedures through daily reporting.
- Solve operational challenges with an analytical and problem-solving approach.
- Support and contribute to special projects that enhance operational efficiency and growth.
- Provide logistics insights to help optimize best practices.
2. Staff Management
- Schedule staff effectively to ensure optimal management of store orders.
- Conduct regular team meetings to boost motivation and communication.
- Ensure punctuality and work attendance of all staff members.
- Facilitate training and coaching for employees who need to improve service delivery.
- Manage and resolve staff queries by liaising with the head office.
- Identify staff training needs and initiate appropriate development programs.
3. Complaints & Issue Resolution
- Address and resolve shopper and driver queries efficiently.
- Handle escalated customer complaints and ensure a resolution is provided.
- Maintain constant communication with the Area Manager regarding unresolved queries.
- Investigate complaints and provide proactive solutions.
- Take a preventative approach to problem-solving, ensuring potential challenges are mitigated before they escalate.
4. Reporting & Performance Insights
- Provide weekly feedback on staff performance.
- Compile and present daily, weekly, and monthly performance reports.
- Ensure accuracy and timeliness in reporting.
- Maintain real-time visibility of operational data for analysis.
- Check and verify weekly complaint reports, downtime logs, and store productivity assessments.
Minimum Qualifications & Requirements
To be considered for the Shopper & Driver Supervisor position, candidates must meet the following criteria:
- Eligibility to work in South Africa.
- Possess a valid South African driver’s license or a Professional Driving Permit (PrDP).
- Maintain a clean driving record.
- Own a personal vehicle or motorbike (official registration documents will be verified).
- Have access to a smartphone (iPhone 5 or newer / Android 4.4 or newer) for app usage and GPS navigation.
- 2-3 years of experience in a Team Leader role.
