Tender Description
The Department of Health Free State invites suitably qualified contractors to submit quotations for the repair of boom gates at Universitas Academic Hospital in Bloemfontein.
The project is intended to restore the operational functionality and security access of the hospital’s existing boom gate systems, supporting reliable and safe vehicle entry and exit while minimising disruption to hospital operations.
Scope of Work
The successful contractor will be expected to undertake comprehensive repair and restoration work on the existing boom gate infrastructure, including:
- Diagnostic assessment of the boom gate systems.
- Repair or replacement of mechanical components.
- Repair or replacement of electrical components.
- Servicing and calibration of control systems.
- Alignment of safety sensors.
- Testing of repaired systems.
- Final commissioning of the boom gates.
- Compliance with hospital safety protocols.
- Compliance with traffic management requirements.
- Compliance with applicable occupational health and safety regulations.
Contractor Requirements
Tenderers must:
- Have a minimum CIDB contractor grading of 1 ME or higher.
- Use only the official tender documentation issued by the employer when preparing their submission.
- Follow the prescribed tender procedures for sealing, addressing, delivery and submission.
- Attend the compulsory clarification meeting.
- Submit the tender before the specified closing time, as late submissions will not be considered.
Skills and Technical Requirements
