Tender Overview
Setsoto Local Municipality is inviting quotations from suitable service providers for the rental of a bulldozer to clean and maintain the landfill site in Ficksburg.
The equipment will be required for a period of 20 working days, excluding weekends, to support landfill site cleaning and waste management activities.
Scope of Work
The successful service provider will be required to:
- Provide a suitable bulldozer for landfill site cleaning activities.
- Make the bulldozer available for 20 working days, excluding weekends.
- Ensure the equipment is operational and suitable for land-clearing activities.
- Comply with all municipal safety and operational requirements.
- Provide valid documentation and proof of compliance with relevant requirements.
Technical Requirements
The bulldozer must:
- Be suitable for cleaning and clearing work at a landfill site.
- Be operational and available for the full required period.
- Comply with applicable safety standards and municipal operating guidelines.
- Meet all technical requirements specified by the municipality.
Preferential Procurement Requirements
Bidders may be required to provide supporting documentation relating to:
Black Ownership
- 100% Black-owned enterprises with a valid Level 1 B-BBEE certificate or sworn affidavit.
- 51% Black-owned enterprises with a valid B-BBEE certificate at Level 2 or 3.
- Other applicable ownership categories.
Women Ownership
- 100% Women-owned enterprises with a valid B-BBEE certificate or sworn affidavit.
- 51% Women-owned enterprises with a valid B-BBEE certificate at Level 1, 2 or 3.
Disability Ownership
- Proof of disability ownership.
- Applicable B-BBEE documentation, where required.
Youth Ownership
- Ownership by South African citizens aged between 18 and 35 years.
- Supporting RSA ID and driver’s licence documentation.
Local Economic Development
- Companies based in the Free State may qualify for applicable preferential points.
- Proof that municipal rates and taxes are not more than three months in arrears may be required.
- Lease agreements, land occupancy permissions or confirmation letters from local authorities may also be applicable.
