Role Overview
As a Business Banker: Merchant Services, you will drive business growth by:

Identifying and acquiring new merchant clients

Onboarding and supporting merchants with payment solutions

Offering tailored financial solutions to SMEs

Managing and growing relationships with merchant clients
This role is highly sales-driven, requires strong customer service, and involves working in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities

Identify and acquire new merchant clients

Onboard merchant clients and support their payment solutions

Provide financial product recommendations to meet client needs
-
Build and maintain strong relationships with SMEs

Drive sales, cross-selling, and upselling of financial products

Achieve sales targets and performance goals

Understand and advise on merchant services and POS solutions

Manage client expectations and resolve issues professionally
Minimum Requirements
Education
-
Minimum Matric (Grade 12)

Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce or Marketing is preferred
Experience
-
2–3 years proven experience in an external sales environment
-
Experience in client acquisition, relationship management, and sales of financial products
-
Experience with merchant services platforms, POS solutions, or payment processing systems

Strong commercial acumen and sales skills

Excellent communication and negotiation skills

Knowledge of SME banking needs and risk assessment

Understanding of business operations and SME landscape
