    Requirements:

    • Degree in Accounting or equivalent

    • SAICA Articles completed

    • Honours Degree in Accounting or equivalent

    • CA(SA) / CGMA designation

    • Minimum 5 years relevant working experience

    Job Purpose:

    To provide strategic financial support to the unlisted investment teams by delivering high-quality accounting, analytical insights, financial reporting, and technical accounting expertise that supports sound investment decisions and ensures regulatory compliance.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Liaise with internal departments, clients, external auditors, and regulatory bodies

    • Draft technical accounting opinions to support complex or unusual transactions

    • Provide expert guidance on IFRS, IFRS for SMEs, and GRAP standards

    • Assist in IFRS conversion projects including reconciliations between IFRS and other frameworks

    • Provide industry-specific tailored accounting advice

    • Ensure accurate and timely processing of transactions on reporting systems

    • Clear reconciliations as per policy and procedures

    • Account accurately for corporate actions on systems

    • Verify and load prices onto reporting systems

    • Perform analytical reviews of reconciliation discrepancies and exceptions

    • Provide accurate and timely client portfolio and ad hoc reporting to stakeholders

    • Assist with management of internal and external audits

    • Provide assistance, guidance, and mentoring to fund accountants

    • Release unlisted investment payments on payment systems
