Requirements:

Degree in Accounting or equivalent

SAICA Articles completed

Honours Degree in Accounting or equivalent

CA(SA) / CGMA designation

Minimum 5 years relevant working experience
Job Purpose:
To provide strategic financial support to the unlisted investment teams by delivering high-quality accounting, analytical insights, financial reporting, and technical accounting expertise that supports sound investment decisions and ensures regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities:

Liaise with internal departments, clients, external auditors, and regulatory bodies
-
Draft technical accounting opinions to support complex or unusual transactions
-
Provide expert guidance on IFRS, IFRS for SMEs, and GRAP standards
-
Assist in IFRS conversion projects including reconciliations between IFRS and other frameworks
-
Provide industry-specific tailored accounting advice
-
Ensure accurate and timely processing of transactions on reporting systems
-
Clear reconciliations as per policy and procedures
-
Account accurately for corporate actions on systems
-
Verify and load prices onto reporting systems
-
Perform analytical reviews of reconciliation discrepancies and exceptions
-
Provide accurate and timely client portfolio and ad hoc reporting to stakeholders

Assist with management of internal and external audits
-
Provide assistance, guidance, and mentoring to fund accountants
-
Release unlisted investment payments on payment systems
