Job Purpose:
To assist the Head of Multi-Management: Private Markets by providing leadership and strategic support in the fund investment business, contributing to investment sourcing, due diligence, transaction structuring, portfolio monitoring, and exit processes
Requirements:
-
Honours degree (e.g., BCom, BAcc, B Bus, BSc) in Financial Management, Finance, Investment Management or related qualification
-
Master’s degree qualification advantageous
-
4 to 6 years investment experience; private equity, fund of funds, or multi-manager experience advantageous
-
Private equity industry knowledge
-
FAIS RE 05 Certificate (must be obtained within 6 months of employment)
Key Responsibilities:
-
Assist in deal sourcing by identifying investment partners and opportunities
-
Conduct deal screening through desktop analysis
-
Prepare preliminary scoping reports
-
Support transaction lead throughout the investment process
-
Coordinate and conduct due diligence on potential investments
-
Assist in structuring, pricing, and negotiating transactions and term sheets
-
Prepare appraisal reports and review transaction agreements
-
Participate in transaction implementation and disbursement
-
Facilitate handover of approved transactions to portfolio management and other divisions
-
Monitor portfolio funds including quarterly reports, valuation, risk management, compliance, and reporting
-
Participate in the exit process for transactions
