Job Purpose
The purpose of the Box Room Operator role is to manage the receiving, distribution, sorting, and balancing of consignments within the vault room environment while ensuring operational accuracy and security compliance.
Reporting Structure
- Reports to the Operations Manager
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare for vault room duties
- Plan vault room schedules for CIT operations
- Receive and distribute consignments to and from CIT teams
- Scan consignments accurately
- Balance vault cash and secure lock-up procedures
- Sort consignments efficiently
- Complete documentation and administration tasks
- Conduct searching duties
- Maintain operational accuracy and compliance
Minimum Requirements
- Clear criminal record
- PSIRA accreditation with minimum Grade C qualification (advantageous)
- At least 1 year experience in the security industry or similar role
- Computer literacy (compulsory)
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work night shifts
- Ability to work under pressure
- Physically fit
