Job Purpose
The Internal Sales Consultant will manage customer enquiries, generate sales, process orders, coordinate stock, and provide support to both customers and the external sales team within the steel industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle incoming customer calls and convert enquiries into sales
- Prepare quotations and follow up via email and phone
- Process sales orders using Syspro
- Source stock from approved suppliers
- Manage back orders and ensure timely deliveries
- Liaise with warehouse staff and external sales representatives
- Assist with customer complaints and queries
- Maintain accurate sales and order records
- Support the external sales team with leads and occasional client visits
- Participate in stock takes when required
Minimum Requirements
- 3–5 years sales experience
- Experience within the steel industry preferred
- Strong product knowledge in steel or related industries
- Syspro experience is advantageous
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Must reside in or near Bloemfontein
- No relocation candidates considered
