Role Purpose
The Financial Associate is responsible for marketing AVBOB’s funeral insurance, savings plans, and related financial products, as well as recruiting funerals for the Funeral Division. The role plays a key part in expanding AVBOB’s client base while ensuring compliance with FAIS legislation and maintaining the organisation’s strong ethical standards and customer-focused culture.
Key Responsibilities

Market and sell funeral insurance, savings plans, and related AVBOB products

Recruit funerals for the Funeral Division

Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and the local community

Identify client needs and provide appropriate financial solutions

Ensure compliance with FAIS legislation and AVBOB policies

Maintain accurate records and complete required administrative duties

Achieve agreed sales and performance targets
Minimum Qualifications & Compliance Requirements

Matric (Grade 12) and/or tertiary education with 30 credits on NQF Level 4
-
Must comply with FAIS Fit and Proper requirements, based on year of industry entry:

2004–2007: 30 NQF Level 4 credits by 31 December 2009

2008–2009: 30–60 NQF Level 4 credits by 31 December 2011 or full FAIS qualification by 31 December 2013

2010 onwards: Full FAIS-recognised qualification required

RE 5 qualification (advantageous)
Experience Required

Previous marketing or sales experience (insurance industry experience advantageous)
