    Role Purpose

    The Finance Director will take full ownership of the company’s financial operations, leading a small finance team and collaborating with senior leadership to ensure financial integrity, compliance, and strategic insight. This is a hands-on role that includes budgeting, cash flow management, tax compliance, project costing, and financial reporting across international markets, particularly in the US and UK.

    Key Responsibilities

     Financial Planning & Analysis

    • Lead the budgeting process in alignment with strategic goals.

    • Prepare accurate and timely cash flow forecasts.

    • Analyze financial performance and provide data-driven insights to senior management.

     Project Costing & Work in Progress (WIP)

    • Collaborate with delivery teams to ensure accurate costing and margin optimization.

    • Manage WIP to ensure timely invoicing and revenue recognition.

    • Strengthen internal financial controls over projects and WIP.

     Transfer Pricing & Tax Compliance

    • Ensure compliance with transfer pricing regulations and documentation.

    • Oversee the preparation and accuracy of US federal and state tax returns.

     Financial Reporting & Auditing

    • Deliver financial reports (monthly, quarterly, annually) with variance analysis.

    • Coordinate statutory reporting and audits in the US and UK.

    • Ensure adherence to relevant accounting and audit standards.

     Payroll Oversight

    • Manage and ensure compliance with US payroll processes.

     Team Leadership

    • Lead and develop a high-performing finance team.

    • Ensure delivery of accurate financial data and reports on time.

     Executive Collaboration

    • Work closely with the Managing Director (MD), Chief Marketing Officer (CMO), and leadership team to support business strategy.

    • Provide financial advice and risk assessment for strategic initiatives.

     Continuous Improvement

    • Identify and implement improvements in financial systems and processes.

    • Stay updated on industry, tax, and regulatory trends.

    Minimum Requirements (Non-Negotiable)

    • US payroll management experience.

    • Strong knowledge of UK & US auditing standards.

    • Hands-on transfer pricing compliance and documentation experience.

    • Direct involvement in US federal and state tax return preparation.

    • Proven experience in budgeting and cash flow forecasting.

    Qualifications & Experience

    • Professional qualification: ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or CPA.

    • 5+ years leading a finance function, with at least 2 years in a management role.

    • Proficiency in Xero, advanced Excel, and ERP systems (advantageous).

    • Experience in global Media, Marketing, or Communications industries (preferred).

    • Strong analytical and leadership skills.

    • Excellent communicator with the ability to influence and support senior stakeholders.

    • Comfortable in a fast-paced, remote, and dynamic work environment.
