     Job Overview

    The Store Manager is responsible for leading and managing all daily store operations to achieve and exceed sales targets, customer service standards, and operational excellence.

    This role focuses on driving profitability, managing stock, leading a retail team, and ensuring strong customer experience and compliance.

     Key Responsibilities

     Stock Management

    • Receive, unpack, and merchandise stock correctly
    • Monitor stock levels and reduce stock losses
    • Maintain stockroom organisation and housekeeping standards
    • Approve stock write-offs, returns, breakages, and recalls

     Sales Growth & Profitability

    • Analyse sales and performance reports
    • Implement action plans to improve sales
    • Control store expenses and profitability
    • Identify opportunities to grow sales and brand visibility
    • Provide feedback on product performance

     Risk & Compliance

    • Conduct compliance checks
    • Ensure adherence to company policies and procedures

     Customer Experience

    • Ensure high customer service standards
    • Implement promotions, markdowns, and visual merchandising
    • Maintain store cleanliness and customer satisfaction
    • Respond to customer feedback effectively

     Leadership & Team Development

    • Lead, manage, and motivate store staff
    • Drive KPI performance across the team
    • Identify training and development needs
    • Support succession planning and talent growth
    • Manage recruitment and performance processes

     Innovation & Execution

    • Implement head office initiatives in-store
    • Improve operational efficiency and customer experience
    • Support new retail strategies and systems

     Minimum Requirements

    • Grade 12 (Matric)
    • 3–5 years’ experience in retail store management
    • Knowledge of sales and service management
    • Budgeting and financial awareness
    • Strong MS Office skills
    • Good communication skills
    • Understanding of retail operations, products, and customer behaviour
