Mangaung Metropolitan Municipality invites applications from qualifying candidates residing within the jurisdiction of the municipality for short-term contracts under the Presidential Employment Stimulus (PES), aligned to the Expanded Public Works Programme (EPWP).
Contract Duration: 10 Months
Note: Candidates previously employed in EPWP, PEP, or PES projects within the municipality will not be considered.

A. Programme: Urban Vegetable Gardening Project
1. Participant: Urban Farmer
Daily Stipend: R210.00
Requirements:
South African citizen
Basic literacy and numeracy
Able to perform physical outdoor work
Interest in environmental conservation
Willingness to undergo training and start a business within 2 months
2. Team Leader: Urban Vegetable Gardening
Daily Stipend: R270.00

Matric Certificate
Minimum NQF 5 in agriculture or environmental-related field
Willingness to undergo training and start a business within 2 months
Work Areas: Bloemfontein Calib Motshabi, Van Stadensrus, Dewetsdorp, Thaba Nchu Zone 1, Wepener, Botshabelo, Soutpan
B. Programme: Recycling Project
1. Participant: Community Recycling & Enterprise Trainee
Daily Stipend: R210.00
Requirements:
South African citizen
Basic literacy and numeracy
Able to perform physical outdoor work
Interest in environmental conservation and waste management
Willingness to undergo training and start a business within 2 months
2. Team Leader: Community Recycling & Enterprise Trainee
Daily Stipend: R270.00

Matric Certificate
Minimum NQF 5 in waste management or environmental-related field
Willingness to undergo training and start a business within 2 months
Work Areas: Wepener, Bloemfontein, Thaba Nchu, Van Stadensrus, Soutpan, Dewetsdorp, Botshabelo
C. Programme: Establishment of Small-Scale Biogas Project
1. Participant: Agricultural Waste Management – Bioconversion Techniques
Daily Stipend: R210.00
Requirements:
South African citizen
Matric Certificate
Interest in agricultural waste management, compost making, biogas production, organic matter collection, and communal gardening
2. Team Leader: Agricultural Waste Management – Bioconversion Techniques
Daily Stipend: R270.00
Requirements:
South African citizen
Matric Certificate
Minimum NQF 5 in agriculture or environmental-related field
3. Administrator: Agricultural Waste Management – Bioconversion Techniques
Daily Stipend: R300.00
Requirements:
Minimum NQF 5 or equivalent (preferably office/admin/project management)
Certificate in Computer Literacy
Experience is an advantage
Work Areas: Van Stadensrus, Dewetsdorp, Thaba Nchu (Spitskop, Ratau, Rakhoi), Soutpan, Bloemfontein (Khayelitsha, Phase 7)

Must not be receiving a ward committee stipend
