    Purpose of the Role

    To lecture Information Technology-related modules on a fixed-term basis, assist in academic administration, and contribute to departmental activities.

    Minimum Requirements

    Qualifications:

    • BSc Information Technology or similar degree (NQF Level 7 or above)

    • Honours or Master’s degree advantageous

    Experience:

    • 1–2 years relevant lecturing experience

    • Knowledge of higher education practices and processes

    • Relevant research experience

    Modules to be Lectured

    • Mobile Development

    • Database Design and Development

    • Basic & Advanced C#, PHP, and Java Programming

    • Python Programming

    • Game Design Fundamentals

    • Mathematics for Computing

    • Data Analytics

    • Website Design & Development

    • Introduction to JSON

    • Machine Learning with Python

    • Other IT-related modules as required

    Key Responsibilities

    • Deliver lectures and facilitate learning

    • Prepare and update notes and study materials

    • Set and mark assessments

    • Conduct quality assurance processes

    • Manage and support at-risk students

    • Handle general administration related to the role
