Job Description
The appointed service provider will supply VMware Enterprise software licenses and deliver comprehensive virtualization services, including installation, configuration, upgrades, maintenance, technical support, and system optimization.
The provider will ensure that the Department of Water and Sanitation maintains a secure, reliable, scalable, and fully supported virtualization environment throughout the 36-month contract. The service provider will also provide documentation, knowledge transfer, user support, and technical guidance while ensuring compliance with ICT best practices and government standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Supply VMware Enterprise software licenses.
- Manage the VMware Enterprise License Agreement for the contract period.
- Install VMware software and related components.
- Configure the virtualization environment according to best practices.
- Upgrade VMware software to supported versions.
- Perform software patching and updates.
- Provide preventive and corrective maintenance services.
- Deliver technical support and troubleshooting.
- Monitor system performance and virtualization infrastructure.

Minimum Requirements
- Accredited VMware Partner or Authorized Reseller status.

- Ability to provide maintenance and technical support for enterprise ICT environments.
- Capacity to manage a 36-month enterprise support contract.
