Pepkor Lifestyle is seeking a highly organized and experienced Courier Operations Supervisor to lead and coordinate courier operations at our Welkom branch. This critical role is responsible for ensuring the smooth execution of daily courier activities, optimizing delivery performance, and managing a team of drivers and support staff.

Responsibilities:

Supervise courier activities to ensure timely and efficient deliveries

Monitor delivery progress and adjust routes as needed

Manage vehicle maintenance and compliance with safety standards

Coordinate stock flow and collaborate with warehouse and returns teams

Assign tasks, conduct briefings, and support courier team members

Track courier performance and prepare operational reports

Lead team management including scheduling, coaching, and attendance
-
Implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce costs

Ensure compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and OHSA legislation
-
Act as primary contact for customer inquiries and resolve delivery-related complaints

Maintain accurate administrative records of deliveries, returns, and incidents
Qualifications:

Diploma or equivalent; logistics or management qualifications a plus

Proven supervisory experience in courier, logistics, or transportation sectors

Knowledge of local geography and delivery routes

Proficiency with logistics software and tracking systems

Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills

Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends and holidays
