- Job Title: Lecturer: Curriculum Studies

Responsibilities:
-
Teach undergraduate and postgraduate modules in Curriculum Studies and Teacher Education.

Participate in the Work Integrated Learning programme (Teaching Practice).
-
Conduct and publish research in accredited journals.
-
Develop curriculum content within the field of Curriculum Studies.
-
Supervise undergraduate and postgraduate students.
-
Collaborate with faculty colleagues and contribute to leadership and administration.
Qualifications:
-
A doctoral degree (NQF Level 10) in Curriculum Studies with a focus on Pre-service teachers and/or Work Integrated Learning (permanent post), or
-
A master’s degree (NQF Level 9) with proof of doctoral registration in the same field (contract post with conversion condition).

Abstract of thesis/dissertation demonstrating relevance to Curriculum Studies and WIL.

Formal teaching qualification in Intermediate Phase/Primary Education (e.g., B.Ed., Diploma in Education).

Minimum 5 years’ experience in school education or 2+ years in higher education/research.

Experience presenting at academic conferences.
-
Evidence of at least one research manuscript suitable for publication.
