Tender Objective
The purpose of this tender is to appoint a qualified service provider to prepare and compile a comprehensive Fixed Asset Register (FAR) for the 2025/2026 financial year for Masilonyana Local Municipality.
The project aims to ensure that all municipal fixed assets are accurately recorded, verified, managed, and reported in accordance with applicable accounting standards, municipal regulations, and asset management requirements.
Scope of Work
The appointed service provider will be responsible for:
- Preparing and compiling the Fixed Asset Register (FAR).
- Verifying and validating existing municipal asset information.
- Updating and correcting asset records where necessary.
- Conducting asset verification and reconciliation processes.
- Ensuring compliance with:
- Municipal accounting standards
- Generally Recognised Accounting Practice (GRAP)
- National Treasury requirements
- Municipal Finance Management Act (MFMA) requirements
- Producing a complete and accurate fixed asset register.
- Assisting with asset management reporting requirements.
Technical Requirements
Bidders must:
- Be registered on the Central Supplier Database (CSD).
- Submit a valid Tax Compliance Status PIN.
- Submit proof of municipal rates and taxes not older than 90 days or a valid lease agreement with supporting municipal documents.
- Comply with National Treasury General Conditions of Contract.
- Submit bids using the prescribed tender documentation.
- Ensure bid documents are properly sealed and clearly marked with the tender number.
- Avoid using correction fluid on tender documents.
- Submit bids before the stipulated closing date and time.
- Comply with the 80/20 Preference Point System.
