Key Responsibilities
As a Pharmacist Intern, your responsibilities will include:
- Assisting in ensuring the availability of medicines and scheduled substances.
- Supporting the accurate dispensing of medication.
- Maintaining efficient stock control of medicines and scheduled substances.
- Complying with pharmacy legislation and professional standards.
- Supporting daily pharmacy operations and patient care.
Minimum Requirements
Essential Qualification
- Bachelor of Pharmacy (BPharm) degree.
Experience
- No prior work experience required.
Knowledge and Skills
Successful applicants should have knowledge of:
- Medicines and Related Substances Control Act and other relevant legislation.
- Good Pharmacy Practice (GPP).
- Financial management principles.
- Medical aid schemes, regulations, and formularies.
- Clinical pharmacy and antimicrobial stewardship.
- Pharmacy systems such as UNISOLVE and AS400.
- Microsoft Office.
- Ethical pharmaceutical product knowledge.
