Job Purpose
The Systems Controller is responsible for ensuring the accurate valuation and management of hospital inventory while maintaining the integrity of the pharmacy system.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure the accuracy of the hospital stock master.
- Coordinate stock holding processes throughout the hospital.
- Monitor and maintain the accuracy of the pharmacy stock management system.
- Support efficient inventory control and stock valuation.
- Ensure compliance with hospital pharmacy policies and procedures.
Minimum Requirements
Education
- Grade 12 (Matric) with Mathematics (essential).
Experience
- Experience working in a private hospital pharmacy (essential).
- Three years’ experience in hospital pharmacy or theatre stock control (advantageous).
- Experience as a Unit Administration Assistant (UAA) will be beneficial.
Required Skills and Knowledge
Successful candidates should have knowledge of:
- AS400 pharmacy system (ordering, distribution and stock holding modules)
- Pharmaceutical products
- Hospital pharmacy policies and procedures
- Charging Policy for Pharmaceuticals (CPP)
- Stock management systems
- Business process understanding
- Microsoft Office
