    Key Responsibilities

    As a Personnel Official Recruitment, you will be responsible for ensuring an efficient and effective recruitment process within the Department of Defence. Your primary duties will include:

    • Distributing Military Skills Development System (MSDS) application forms.
    • Reviewing application forms for competency and completeness.
    • Registering applications in the relevant register book.
    • Capturing applicant details into the PERSOL System.
    • Implementing recruitment plans and strategies to align with the SANDF mandate.
    • Communicating recruitment information effectively with various divisions, services, and the public.
    • Coordinating and attending recruitment-related meetings.
    • Addressing general recruitment inquiries.

    Qualifications and Requirements

    To qualify for this position, candidates must meet the following criteria:

    • Minimum Qualification: Grade 12 Certificate (NQF Level 4 or equivalent).
    • Preferred Qualifications: Recognized qualifications and experience in HR/administration will be advantageous.

    Skills and Competencies

    The ideal candidate should possess:

    • Proficiency in English (written and verbal).
    • Strong typing, communication, and organizational skills.
    • Knowledge of HR Legislation, policies, and procedures.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access).
    • Ability to interpret and verify data on the PERSOL System.
    • High level of professionalism and interpersonal relationship skills.
    • Problem-solving and reasoning abilities.
    • Strong managerial and coordination skills.
