Key Responsibilities
As a Personnel Official Recruitment, you will be responsible for ensuring an efficient and effective recruitment process within the Department of Defence. Your primary duties will include:
- Distributing Military Skills Development System (MSDS) application forms.
- Reviewing application forms for competency and completeness.
- Registering applications in the relevant register book.
- Capturing applicant details into the PERSOL System.
- Implementing recruitment plans and strategies to align with the SANDF mandate.
- Communicating recruitment information effectively with various divisions, services, and the public.
- Coordinating and attending recruitment-related meetings.
- Addressing general recruitment inquiries.
Qualifications and Requirements
To qualify for this position, candidates must meet the following criteria:
- Minimum Qualification: Grade 12 Certificate (NQF Level 4 or equivalent).
- Preferred Qualifications: Recognized qualifications and experience in HR/administration will be advantageous.
Skills and Competencies
The ideal candidate should possess:
- Proficiency in English (written and verbal).
- Strong typing, communication, and organizational skills.
- Knowledge of HR Legislation, policies, and procedures.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access).
- Ability to interpret and verify data on the PERSOL System.
- High level of professionalism and interpersonal relationship skills.
- Problem-solving and reasoning abilities.
- Strong managerial and coordination skills.
