Introduction
Rentokil Initial offers an exciting opportunity for a newly qualified graduate to join as a Sales Trainee in Bloemfontein. This role provides a professional learning experience through an accredited Learnership and the RISA Sales Methodology — combining technical, operational, and sales training.
The program allows the trainee to gain hands-on experience in sales, client service, and product knowledge, supporting business growth by maintaining existing client relationships and sourcing new business opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
Sales Development & Client Engagement

Use Rentokil Initial’s sales tools and processes to maintain and grow the sales pipeline.

Conduct research, prospecting, tele-canvassing, and cold calling to identify potential new clients.

Manage and respond to sales enquiries and leads.

Conduct client site surveys and risk assessments to understand customer needs.

Present tailored sales proposals and pricing structures to clients.

Achieve predetermined sales targets and contribute to revenue growth.
Account Management & Retention

Maintain professional relationships with existing clients to improve retention rates.

Conduct annual price reviews and identify cross-selling or up-selling opportunities.

Support clients through their first-year onboarding to ensure satisfaction and contract renewal.
Training & Development

Attend and complete all accredited Learnership modules and on-the-job training.

Gain in-depth technical and product knowledge of Rentokil Initial’s services.

Participate in continuous learning through internal sales and operational training.
Administration & Reporting

Accurately complete all sales administration and reporting as required by company policies.

Provide feedback on marketing-driven sales campaigns and assist in performance tracking.
Required Qualifications & Experience

Matric (Grade 12) – essential

Recent graduate, preferably in a sales-related or business field – advantageous

Valid driver’s license – essential

Computer literate (MS Office proficiency)

No prior sales experience required – enthusiasm and passion for sales are key!
