The Cross Border Road Transport Agency (C-BRTA) is seeking Road Transport Inspectors to conduct professional and consistent inspections and law enforcement operations on cross-border transport. The role requires adherence to legislation, operational policies, and ethical standards, with a strong focus on results, quality, and public engagement.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct thorough vehicle inspections and enforce compliance with transport regulations.
Issue notices of violation in accordance with C-BRTA legislation.
Conduct cross-border law enforcement investigations.
Provide management information and reports on inspections and enforcement activities.
Technical Competencies
In-depth knowledge of the Cross Border Road Transport Act and related legislation, including:
Criminal Procedures Act
National Land Transport Act
Dangerous Goods Legislation
Tourism Act
Understanding of operational policies and procedures.
Behavioural Competencies
Analytical thinking and problem-solving
Strong report writing and communication skills
Negotiation and crowd management abilities
Effective interpersonal and investigative skills
Decisive, results-oriented, ethical, and quality-focused
Minimum Requirements
Qualification: Three-year National Diploma or NQF Level 6 in Traffic Management, Road Transport Management, or related discipline.
Experience: Minimum of 3 years relevant experience in law enforcement.
