Position Overview
Curro Bloemfontein is seeking a qualified, experienced, and passionate teacher to teach Mathematics and Mathematical Literacy at the FET Phase (Grades 10–12). The ideal candidate will inspire learners, uphold strong academic standards, and contribute actively to the school’s educational, cultural, and sporting life.
Minimum Requirements
- Relevant academic and professional teaching qualification from a recognised institution
- Minimum 5 years’ teaching experience in Maths and Maths Literacy (FET Phase)
- Current SACE registration (mandatory)
- IEB curriculum experience (advantageous)
- Clear criminal record
Key Responsibilities
Plan, prepare, and deliver effective lessons and assessments
Record and report learner progress accurately
Create a stimulating and disciplined learning environment
Maintain and account for classroom resources and school equipment
Collaborate with colleagues in the same grade and phase
Promote discipline, learning, and co-curricular participation
Participate in sports, cultural, and school activities as required
Attend staff meetings, workshops, and professional development sessions
