    Manpower SA is seeking a skilled Instructional Designer to join their Academic Services team on a 1-year contract. The role focuses on designing, developing, and refining high-quality, student-centred online learning experiences in collaboration with partner universities. The Instructional Designer will work closely with faculty members, subject matter experts, and instructional design teams to ensure that online courses meet academic standards, incorporate evidence-based learning principles, and make effective use of technology.

    This position requires strong expertise in online course design, project management skills, and the ability to manage multiple development projects in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, collaborative, and committed to supporting continuous improvement in teaching and learning.

     Key Responsibilities

    • Collaborate with faculty and design teams to conceptualise and develop online course components.

    • Apply instructional design theories and models to create engaging, effective learning experiences.

    • Support the creation of multimedia content, including videos, audio, graphics, and simulations.

    • Advise academic partners on the use of educational technology tools and platforms.

    • Manage multiple course development projects, ensuring timelines and quality standards are met.

    • Conduct course reviews and quality checks prior to internal or external evaluation.

    • Research and analyse the needs of adult learners in online environments.

    • Contribute to innovation and continuous improvement within the Academic Services team.

     Qualifications & Experience

    • Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree in Instructional Design, Education, or related field preferred.

    • 2–3 years of experience in online course design and development (higher education or corporate training preferred).

    • Proficiency with Canvas and at least one additional LMS.

    • Knowledge of instructional quality frameworks (e.g., Quality Matters) is advantageous.
