Job Summary
Matjhabeng Local Municipality intends to establish a panel of suppliers for the supply and delivery of chemicals for water purification plants for a period of 36 months (3 years). The supplies will be required as and when needed throughout the contract period.
This tender is a re-advertisement, meaning the municipality is re-opening the tender to ensure adequate supplier participation and to strengthen the panel.
Objectives
The main objectives are:
- Establish a panel of qualified chemical suppliers
- Ensure uninterrupted supply of purification chemicals
- Support water treatment operations across the municipality
- Maintain quality standards and regulatory compliance
- Ensure cost-effective and timely delivery
Scope of Work
1. Supply of Purification Chemicals
Suppliers will be required to supply chemicals used in water purification processes, such as:

Chlorine (liquid or gas)

Coagulants (e.g., Alum)

Flocculants
-
pH adjustment chemicals
-
Other treatment chemicals as per plant requirements
2. Delivery

Supply on an as-and-when-required basis

Deliver to purification plants across Matjhabeng municipality

Ensure proper packaging and safe handling of chemicals
3. Panel Supplier Arrangement

Suppliers will be placed on a panel

Orders will be issued based on:

Technical Requirements
Suppliers must:
- Provide chemicals that meet quality standards and specifications
- Demonstrate ability to supply on a 3-year contract
- Provide material safety data sheets (MSDS)
- Comply with all regulatory requirements for handling and transporting chemicals
- Provide proof of technical capacity and experience
