    Programme Overview

    UPD is offering a 12-month learnership programme leading to a National Certificate in Wholesale and Retail Distribution. The programme combines classroom-based learning with practical workplace experience to provide learners with valuable skills and knowledge in the wholesale, retail, and supply chain environment.

    The programme is specifically targeted at unemployed young people living with disabilities who are looking to gain workplace experience and a nationally recognised qualification.

    Target Group

    Applicants must be:

    • Unemployed.
    • Living with a disability (PWD).
    • Between the ages of 18 and 35 years.
    • In possession of a Grade 12 (Matric) qualification.

    Important Note

    Applicants will be disqualified if they are:

    • Currently registered on a SETA bursary.
    • Currently participating in another learnership programme.

    Programme Responsibilities

    As a learner, you will be required to:

    Training and Development

    • Attend all required training sessions.
    • Participate in classroom learning activities.
    • Complete practical workplace training.

    Learning and Assessment

    • Complete all learning activities successfully.
    • Compile and submit a Portfolio of Evidence (PoE).
    • Demonstrate competency against required learning outcomes.

    Workplace Experience

    • Support departmental teams under supervision.
    • Participate in day-to-day operational activities.
    • Gain practical experience in wholesale and retail distribution processes.

    Programme Completion

    • Meet all competency requirements.
    • Successfully complete the 12-month learnership programme.

    Essential Requirements

    • Grade 12 / Matric.
    • Age between 18 and 35 years.
    • Unemployed.
    • Person living with a disability (PWD).
    • Available to complete the full 12-month programme.
