Job Description
Clicks Group is inviting applications for two Shop Assistant Cashier positions at its Kroonstad store. The successful candidates will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, processing customer transactions accurately, handling cash safely and maintaining the store’s merchandising standards.
The role also involves promoting Clicks ClubCard membership, informing customers about promotions and ensuring that customers receive friendly, efficient and professional service.

Key Responsibilities
- Perform all point-of-sale (POS) operational activities efficiently and accurately.
- Scan merchandise correctly and process customer payments.
- Handle cash safely and follow the store’s cash-handling procedures.
- Process Clicks ClubCard rewards and encourage customers to join the ClubCard programme.
- Promote in-store specials, offers and promotions to increase sales.
- Deliver excellent customer service by being approachable, visible and professional.
- Act as a brand ambassador for Clicks and uphold the company’s values.
- Perform merchandising duties in line with store and visual merchandising standards.
- Maintain general housekeeping and ensure the store remains clean and organised.
- Keep up to date with products, product ranges, promotions and upcoming events.
- Provide customers with accurate product and promotional information.
- Follow company procedures and instructions.
- Contribute to achieving store targets and delivering a positive customer experience.
Job Requirements
Minimum Qualifications
- Grade 12 (Matric) is essential.
- Mathematics with at least 50% at Grade 12 level is desirable.
- English with at least 50% at Grade 12 level is desirable.
Experience
- Previous experience in a customer-facing role within a retail or FMCG store environment is desirable.
Knowledge and Skills
